ASME - “SHOOTING RANGE”

Creating the visual for Asmes ”Shooting Range” has been a great honor.
We got the opportunity to have full creative control over the visual with one condition from Asme, a Range Rover.
Being The Weeknd fans that we are, our first inspiration was Blinding Lights, a visual centered around a car. S/O Anton Tammi!

When I, the director (Entisar) listened to the song, the first impression I got was a sense of hopelessness, loneliness & betrayal.
The more I paid attention to the lyrics the more I wanted to incorporate the dark theme in the video as well.
Inspired by Jordan Peele I decided to create a thriller visual and the perfect character custom-made for Asme.

But still, I knew that there was something missing, a symbol for what he was running away from and that’s when me and Hajan looked at each other and suddenly screamed out ”A TICKING BOMB”  in union at the coffee shop. The ticking bomb became a symbol for the hopelessness, loneliness & betrayal. It also represents being stuck in a destructive lifestyle that leads to anxiety and fear, breaking the code to liberate oneself.

So who’s the person that has been watching him? Why is he a target? Who placed the bomb on him?
Will the bomb explode or did he save himself by cutting off the wire?

That’s the secret I’ll never tell,
xoxo Entisar.
